A Spanish news report revealed today, Tuesday, Real Madrid's plans following the decision of German international Toni Kroos to retire from football after the current season. Kroos announced his retirement unexpectedly today after a successful career filled with achievements. He will play his last match with Real Madrid against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final, and his career will conclude after Germany's run in Euro 2024 ends.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," Real Madrid is not currently considering signing a replacement for Kroos during the upcoming summer transfer window. The newspaper noted that coach Carlo Ancelotti had previously asked club president Florentino Pérez to renew Kroos's or Luka Modrić's contracts.

The newspaper also mentioned that Ancelotti was heard at Valdebebas saying loudly, "Let at least one of them stay," referring to Modrić and Kroos. Kroos will be honored during Real Madrid's match against Real Betis next Saturday in the final round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
