According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," Real Madrid is not currently considering signing a replacement for Kroos during the upcoming summer transfer window. The newspaper noted that coach Carlo Ancelotti had previously asked club president Florentino Pérez to renew Kroos's or Luka Modrić's contracts.
The newspaper also mentioned that Ancelotti was heard at Valdebebas saying loudly, "Let at least one of them stay," referring to Modrić and Kroos. Kroos will be honored during Real Madrid's match against Real Betis next Saturday in the final round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
