The Chairman and General Manager of the Housing Bank, Antoine Habib, announced that people with disabilities will be able to benefit from housing loans starting on June 1. He clarified in a statement that the conditions for obtaining these loans are exactly the same as those for regular loans. Applicants will need to begin by submitting the required documents, which will then be reviewed by a specialized team of engineers to assess and determine the loan amount based on the individual's needs for repairs or improvements to their homes. The loan must be repaid over a period that will be defined later, depending on the borrowed amount.
Habib also highlighted that the Housing Bank is considering offering loans to business owners with disabilities in an effort to assist them in upgrading and developing their workplaces. Additionally, there is a possibility of supporting the improvement of workplaces for employees with disabilities in the private sector to facilitate their employment. He explained that housing loans are aimed at individuals with low to medium incomes, including those with disabilities. He stated that this is a right for every individual in society and is therefore a form of support for starting a life. Habib concluded that this loan represents one of the goals he has sought to achieve since taking over the management of the Housing Bank.
