The Madrid-based newspaper revealed that the Turkish player has suffered a new setback, which has kept him from participating in team training today. "AS" also noted that Güler was in the gym training alone, away from the group, indicating that he will miss tomorrow's match, thus postponing his first appearance with the team indefinitely.
Carlo Ancelotti commented on the news of Güler's latest setback during a press conference on Friday, the eve of the Valencia match. He stated, "Yes, he suffered an injury before the match against Sporting Braga. He is sad, but it is not serious." He added that Güler "is not experiencing a setback, just a minor injury, and we have the international break to get him ready again."
