The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that it summoned the temporary Swedish Chargé d'Affaires in Tehran to express its protest against "malicious and unfounded" accusations made by Stockholm against Iran, alleging that Tehran uses criminal gangs to attack Israel and its interests in Sweden. The ministry stated through its account on X platform that "following the unfounded accusations made by a Swedish official against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the temporary chargé d'affaires of the Swedish embassy in Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry by the assistant director-general of the ministry for Western European affairs." The Iranian embassy in Stockholm denounced "false information" on Friday, in response to accusations made by Swedish intelligence against Tehran for recruiting criminal gangs to commit acts of violence against Israel and its interests.
