Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited the training of the "Pharaohs" national team today, Saturday, which is taking place at the Olympic City Stadium in the New Administrative Capital in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations finals. Footage showed the Egyptian president meeting with the players and talking with them, as well as taking commemorative photos. It was also revealed that the team jersey was presented by Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Egyptian national team, to Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The president urged the players to "give their best effort" to please the Egyptian fans during their participation in the continental championship scheduled to be held in Ivory Coast between January and February 2024. El-Sisi told the players: "The responsibility is to be united; success does not come only from talent... The Egyptian team is a great blessing for us in Egypt, football has a huge following around the world, and Egypt deserves the title with the most wins. I wish you all the best of luck."
The "Pharaohs" team, which is the most successful team in the continental championship with 7 titles, is in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Ghana, and Mozambique.
