French Star Contemplates International Retirement

One of the stars of the French national team is considering retiring from international football after the end of the team’s journey in the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. The French team was eliminated in the semi-finals after losing to Spain (2-1). According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe," Benjamin Pavard, the right-back for Inter Milan and the French national team, is contemplating the possibility of leaving the national team and retiring internationally. The report highlighted that the Inter player remained on the bench throughout the Euro tournament, without receiving any minutes of play under the guidance of Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the team. The newspaper emphasized the bitterness Pavard is experiencing, especially since he was one of the key players for Inter in the previous season but has now become a substitute for France. Additionally, the newspaper mentioned that several other members of the French national team, such as Kingsley Coman and Antoine Griezmann, are also considering retirement.
