The bodies of a Frenchman and a Swiss national were found in the French Alps after their glider crashed. The aircraft had been reported missing after taking off from the Aspres-sur-Buëch airport, where the victims were on vacation, last Wednesday around 10 PM. It was not located until Friday around 3:30 PM, in Val d'Escreins, in the Hautes-Alpes region, at an altitude of 2,806 meters. According to the public prosecutor's office in Gap, the pilot, a 45-year-old Frenchman, and the passenger, a 58-year-old Swiss man, have been identified. The circumstances of the accident remain unclear. The investigation has been assigned to a team from the national gendarmerie in Hautes-Alpes, along with gendarmerie officials responsible for air transport.
