The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for a shooting that injured three Israeli settlers near the village of Ramin, east of Tulkarem in the West Bank. In a statement, Al-Qassam said: "Al-Qassam fighters managed to carry out a shooting operation targeting a vehicle belonging to the Zionist settlers near the village of Ramin east of Tulkarem on Tuesday, resulting in injuries of varying degrees to three of them. Our fighters withdrew safely, under the protection of the Almighty."
While announcing their responsibility for "this heroic operation," they affirmed that "this operation comes in retaliation for the blood of martyrs and as part of the responsibility to respond to the Zionist massacres in the Gaza Strip and the crimes of occupation in the occupied West Bank and the violations committed against prisoners in the occupation's prisons."
Al-Qassam emphasized that "the settler gangs will see nothing from the strength of our fighters in the West Bank except death, bullets, and gunpowder, and that the flames of the advanced explosive devices have recently erupted against occupation soldiers in Tubas, Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nablus will not be quenched as long as the occupier remains on our land and continues its aggression against our people."
In related news, the Al-Quds Brigades – Tulkarem Battalion, affiliated with Islamic Jihad, announced in a statement the "downing of an enemy drone while it was on an intelligence mission in the skies over Nur Shams camp in eastern Tulkarem." They stated: "Our engineers dealt with it and extracted important and sensitive information from the Zionist occupation."
