France Welcomes Israeli Delegation at "Paris Olympics"

French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné confirmed today, Monday, that the Israeli delegation is "welcome" at the summer Olympics hosted by Paris, following statements from leftist French MP Thomas Port that stirred controversy in the country. Séjourné clarified from Brussels, "I would like to say that the Israeli delegation is welcome here in France to participate in the Olympic Games," deeming Port's comments about not welcoming them as "irresponsible and dangerous." He emphasized that he would reiterate the official stance "to the Israeli government," mentioning that he would speak to his counterpart Israel Katz in the coming hours.
