UEFA Prohibits Mbappé from Using New Mask

All eyes remain on Kylian Mbappé, the star and captain of the French national team, just hours before the match against the Netherlands on Friday evening in the second round of the Euro 2024 tournament. Mbappé wore a medical mask during the French national team's training on Thursday after suffering a broken nose in the first match against Austria last Monday.

However, French network RMC Sport revealed that UEFA regulations prevent Mbappé from participating with this mask. It noted that Article 42 of UEFA's regulations regarding players' sports equipment states that medical equipment worn by players on the field must be a single color and should not indicate the identity of the team or the manufacturer.

Additionally, it was reported that the French striker received other ordinary medical masks. The French Football Federation will need to verify this matter during the technical meeting for the match on Friday morning. Mbappé was seen wearing a mask that displayed the colors of the French flag, the French national team’s logo, and the first two letters of his name in English.
