Israeli reports revealed today, Friday, that the Israeli army is nearing the end of its military operation in Rafah, indicating that it is about to announce its withdrawal from there. Channel 12 in Israel stated, "The army has approached the end of its military operations in Rafah and is on the verge of announcing the withdrawal from there, except for the Philadelphi Route." However, Palestine TV reported that "the Israeli army launched intense artillery fire west of Rafah in southern Gaza." This comes as the Israeli army has commenced a new offensive military operation in Khan Younis after issuing new evacuation orders for civilians in the city.
On another note, the Israeli army stated in a statement today, that it has identified and dismantled a multi-story underground tunnel approximately 3 kilometers long in central Gaza. They added that the engineering unit, under the southern command, along with the "Yahalon" unit, investigated and dismantled the multi-story underground tunnel composed of multiple branches. It was noted that "several rooms, weapons, and long-term living arrangements used by terrorist operatives were found inside the tunnel."
