Playing with Fire in the Red Sea?

The mutual escalation between the Houthis and Israel poses a danger that is difficult to control and contains in the region. This military escalation affects the security of Bab el-Mandeb, global trade movements, energy transport in the Red Sea, and the security of the ports of the countries bordering the area. The escalation is not limited to the Red Sea; it also reaches the cities of Haifa and Jaffa, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Last year, 200 actual attempts to penetrate Israeli airspace with missiles or drones were recorded, noting that the distance between Israel and Yemen is no less than 2,000 km. The American-British ground-based air defense network has remained responsible for countering and deterring these threats. Washington and London have conducted individual or joint operations to target selected sites in Yemen.

Three days ago, a drone of the type "Samad 3," made in Iran and considered one of the modern long-range models with an effective radar and new guidance system, successfully reached a building just a few meters away from the American embassy in Tel Aviv. Israel considered this operation a serious threat and formed a high military investigation committee to investigate the failure in early detection and the reasons for not intercepting this drone. Last Saturday evening, Israeli aircraft attacked electricity stations and selected locations in the port of Hodeidah for the first time, claiming officially that this is the port receiving Iranian weapons from which missiles and drones are launched against Israel. Netanyahu threatened Yemen and any other country in the region seeking to threaten the security of the Israeli state with a decisive response. Over the year, Israel has militarily engaged targets in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran. The expansion of these operations warns of a spiraling of strikes and counter-strikes; the cycle of action and reaction may descend into a state of uncontrollable escalation that could lead to direct intervention from either Iran and Russia on one side or NATO allied countries on the other. It is playing with fire!
