Airlines Suspend Flights Due to Escalation in the Middle East

Fears of an escalation in the conflict in the Middle East have led international airlines to suspend flights to the region or avoid certain airspaces. Here are some airlines that have made adjustments to their services to and from the region:

**Air Algerie**

Air Algeria has temporarily suspended flights to and from Lebanon until further notice.

**Air India**

Air India has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 8.

**Air France/KLM**

Air France extended the suspension of its flights between Paris and Beirut until August 11. Its Dutch subsidiary KLM has canceled all flights to and from Tel Aviv from early August until October 26.

**Delta Air Lines**

Delta Air Lines has extended the suspension of its flights between New York and Tel Aviv until August 31.

**easyJet**

A spokesperson for easyJet, the British budget airline, stated that it suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv in April and will resume them on March 30, 2025.

**ITA Airways**

ITA Airways has extended the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 10.

**Lufthansa**

The Lufthansa Group has prolonged its avoidance of Iranian and Iraqi airspace and announced that it will suspend flights to and from Tel Aviv, Tehran, Beirut, Amman, and Erbil in Iraq until August 13. Swiss International Air Lines, one of Lufthansa's subsidiaries, has also extended the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut until August 13 while avoiding airspace over Israel, Iran, and Iraq until then.

**Royal Jordanian**

Royal Jordanian resumed its flights to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, starting August 8, after suspending them since July 29.

**Ryanair**

Europe's largest low-cost airline, Ryanair, has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 23.

**Singapore Airlines**

Singapore Airlines has stopped flying over Iranian airspace and is using alternative routes.

**United Airlines**

United Airlines announced that flights to Tel Aviv, which were temporarily suspended on July 31, are still on hold.

**Lebanese Airspace Alerts**

The UK has advised airlines in the kingdom against entering Lebanese airspace from August 8 to November 4, citing "potential risks to aviation from military activities."
