Brazilian player Vinícius Júnior of Real Madrid has become one of the latest stars targeted by officials from Saudi Pro League clubs, hoping to sign him in the future. Recent reports indicated that Vinícius rejected a massive offer from Saudi Arabia, which suggested he become the main face of the Pro League until the 2034 World Cup.
The Spanish newspaper "AS" revealed the value of the substantial offer, noting it would exceed the highest transfer fee in football history, which was 222 million euros when Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. However, the newspaper ruled out the offer reaching the buyout clause in Vinícius's contract, which is one billion euros, explaining that it would be around 400 million euros, which Real Madrid would receive.
Meanwhile, Brazilian newspaper "Globo" disclosed the value of the contract offered to Vinícius, stating that it would allow the player to earn over one billion euros in salary and bonuses over five years. At the same time, "AS" denied rumors regarding the Brazilian international's rejection of the Saudi offer, as there is nothing concrete on the table at this point.
The 24-year-old is awaiting the outcome of ongoing talks between Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid, but the Madrid newspaper confirmed it is challenging for the player to make a decision to leave Santiago Bernabéu, where he feels extremely happy.
