Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has been awarded the title of Player of the Month for February, according to a poll conducted on the club's official website, surpassing nominees Daniel James, Bruno Fernandes, and Scott McTominay.
The 25-year-old Shaw is the fifth different winner from the United players this season, marking the first time he has received the award since March 2019. In February, he assisted two goals in the match where United defeated Southampton 9-0, providing key passes to Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Edinson Cavani.
Shaw received 37% of the total votes from United supporters, ahead of Daniel James (28%), Bruno Fernandes (24%), and Scott McTominay (11%). Frenchman Paul Pogba had won the Player of the Month award for January, with Shaw finishing second behind him with 41% in that poll but managed to outpace his competitors in February.
Manchester United is preparing to face Crystal Palace this Wednesday at 10:15 PM in the 29th round of the Premier League. Notably, Manchester United currently sits in second place in the Premier League table with 50 points, 15 points behind leaders Manchester City.
