An Egyptian woman stabbed her husband with a knife during a quarrel between them, resulting in a penetrating stab wound to his abdomen, after they disagreed about washing his clothes in the Dakahlia governorate. The husband recounted the details of the incident, stating he has been married for nine years and they have three children, noting that they were living happily until he registered the ownership of their home in his wife's name, which sparked the conflict.
The husband claimed that the wife had threatened to kill him several times whenever he asked for something, and she eventually carried out her threat by stabbing him in front of their children. He explained that on the day of the incident, the wife placed all his clothes in water and left them, leading him to wake up the next day to find all his clothes soaked. He reprimanded her for not having any clothes to wear to work.
This led to a dispute, during which he was surprised when she took a kitchen knife and stabbed him, leaving him bleeding until a friend arrived and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.
Security agencies in the Dakahlia Security Directorate received a report about a car mechanic with a stab wound to the abdomen, and the husband accused his wife of causing his injury. Officers from the Al-Kurdy police station arrived at the scene and found Ahmed Talba Mohamed Hamad, a car mechanic, with a 6 cm deep stab wound on the left side near his abdomen, and he accused his wife of inflicting the injury due to their disagreement over laundry.
The police arrested the wife, who denied the charges against her and claimed that her husband was accusing her because he wanted to reclaim the house that was registered in her name. The Public Prosecution ordered today to release the suspect until the forensic report is available.
