The interim coach of Manchester United has received a work permit and is expected to officially begin his duties with the Premier League team tomorrow, Friday, as announced by the club today, Thursday. A spokesperson for Manchester United told Reuters today, "Rangnick will be in the stands during today's match and will start his new role tomorrow morning." The 63-year-old German Rangnick was appointed as the temporary manager of the Red Devils last Monday, replacing Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The English club sacked Solskjaer last week while Rangnick was waiting to obtain a work visa in England to commence his new role. Although Rangnick will be present at Old Trafford during Manchester United's match against Arsenal later today, current interim coach Michael Carrick will lead the team during the game. Rangnick, who left his position as director of sports and development at Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow, will take charge of the team for the first time in a Premier League match against Crystal Palace this coming Sunday.
