Erdogan Announces His Infection with Coronavirus

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Saturday that he and his wife have been infected with the novel coronavirus. The official account of the Turkish president on Twitter shared a tweet in which he announced his infection with the virus. In the tweet, Erdogan mentioned, "The result of the COVID-19 test I conducted with my wife after mild symptoms was positive," adding, "Fortunately, we have mild illness, and we have been informed that it is the Omicron variant." He continued, "We continue to carry out our duties and work from home, and we look forward to your prayers."
