Two people were killed and two others were injured in a horrific traffic accident in the Mahayil Asir province of Saudi Arabia on Monday. The incident was caused by the driver of a large truck loaded with barrels, who lost control at a red traffic light in the Al-Dars area, resulting in a violent collision with several vehicles that were stopped at the signal, after which the truck overturned and the barrels scattered on the road.
According to the Saudi Red Crescent Authority spokesperson in the Asir region, Ahmed Al-Almaei, emergency teams responded to the terrible traffic accident in Mahayil Asir, which involved a speeding truck loaded with barrels hitting several vehicles that were stopped at the Al-Dars traffic signal due to the driver's inability to control the vehicle. Three emergency teams were dispatched to the site, and upon arrival, it was confirmed that there were two fatalities, one serious injury, and one moderate injury. Medical assistance was provided to the injured, and they were transported to Mahayil General Hospital for appropriate treatment.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Department of the Asir region announced that it has begun investigative procedures into the truck accident in Mahayil Asir, which resulted in the collision of several vehicles and the death of two individuals, along with other injuries. Preliminary inspections indicated that the accident was caused by a brake failure in the vehicle, and further procedures are being completed, with the case being referred to the appropriate authorities.
