Russia Sends 12 Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems to Belarus

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, the dispatch of 12 "Pantsir-S" anti-aircraft missile systems to Belarus. The ministry stated that units of the Russian Armed Forces involved in inspecting the deterrence forces of allied countries continue to redeploy in the Republic of Belarus. An anti-aircraft missile system of the "Pantsir-S" type from the Eastern Military District was moved to the unloading station. The Ministry of Defense clarified that after unloading, the systems will be transported to designated areas, where locations will be prepared, and combat training tasks will be undertaken as part of the unified regional air defense system of Belarus and Russia. Local media quoted a source in the Ministry of Defense saying that the operation is part of verifying the readiness of the rapid response forces of the Union State. According to a video published by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the "Pantsir-S" battalion that arrived in Belarus includes 12 combat vehicles, each capable of carrying 12 anti-aircraft missiles in transport and launch containers.
