Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, expressed his concern on Monday regarding the violence occurring in occupied East Jerusalem, which has resulted in the injury of several innocent civilians. According to the Emirates News Agency "WAM," Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed met with Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, who brought a message from Jordan's King Abdullah II. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi condemned all forms of violence and hatred that conflict with humanitarian values and principles. He emphasized the importance of ending attacks and practices that lead to ongoing tension and unrest in the holy city, as well as halting any actions that violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed listened to Bisher Al-Khasawneh regarding the efforts made by Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah, to protect Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem amidst the current developments in the city and their repercussions. During the meeting, they discussed the relationship between the UAE and Jordan and ways to support and strengthen it in various fields, along with several issues of mutual interest on regional and global levels, particularly the recent developments in the Arab region and the situation in Jerusalem in light of recent events, as well as joint efforts to enhance security and peace in the region.
