Title: Flour is Missing... and What Awaits Us is Catastrophic

The "Small Bakeries and Markeouq Bakeries Association in the South" announced in a statement that "despite the removal of subsidies on flour and its conversion to dollars, flour is missing from the market due to mills not supplying distributors with flour, citing a lack of wheat." The statement added, "Seventy percent of Markeouq bakeries have closed due to their inability to continue operations because of the significant price differences between their products and the high production costs compared to 'Arabic bread', which has led to the loss of income for hundreds of poor families." The owners of small bakeries urged for "swift action to restart operations in mills to supply the market with flour so that manaqish bakeries do not stop working as well."
