Israeli Shelling Around Damascus Kills Soldier and Injures Five Others

Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that the Israeli shelling targeting areas around Damascus early Wednesday resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to five others. The agency quoted a Syrian military source stating that the missile attack, carried out by Israeli aircraft, also caused material losses. The military source added that air defenses intercepted some of the Israeli missiles. The same source noted that around 1:00 AM, the Israeli army conducted an aerial attack with volleys of rockets from the southeast of Beirut, and at 1:10 AM, it executed a ground-to-ground missile attack from the occupied Syrian Golan targeting some points around the city of Damascus.
