The president of Spanish club Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, has recovered from COVID-19, which he contracted at the beginning of February, as announced by the club.
Real Madrid issued a statement on its official website stating: "Real Madrid announces that president Florentino Pérez has tested negative in two PCR tests conducted over the last 48 hours." The statement further mentioned: "Pérez will not travel to Bergamo, Italy, for the match against Atalanta in the Champions League, but he will go to Valdebebas tomorrow to meet all first-team members before flying to Italy."
Spanish reports revealed that Florentino Pérez had recovered from COVID-19 after testing positive a few weeks ago. The Spanish website "Defensa Central" reported that the Real Madrid president confirmed his recovery after receiving two negative test results recently. Notably, Florentino Pérez was diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 2, three weeks ago, and underwent health isolation at home, following the protocol established by the Spanish Football Federation to limit the spread of the virus.
