The Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, announced that the Central Council approved the extension of the effects of Circular No. 161 until the end of July 2022, with the possibility of renewal. Salameh also confirmed that dealing with cash in U.S. dollars against cash in Lebanese pounds will continue with banks without a specified limit on the exchange rate on the "Sayrafa" platform.
