The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division has circulated the image of an arrested individual and is calling on those who have fallen victim to his actions to contact the relevant authorities.
The National News Agency reported that the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued a statement indicating that several armed robbery incidents had occurred recently, wherein unknown assailants deceived victims by offering to sell U.S. dollars at a lower price than the market rate. The statement added that as a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, a suspect was apprehended for having robbed an individual in a similar manner and using a weapon on January 7, 2021, clarifying that the victim recognized him and was returned the stolen amount exceeding 80 million Lebanese Lira.
The statement continued that based on the directions of the relevant judiciary, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating the image of the arrested individual, identified as M. H. H. (born in 1983, Lebanese). The General Directorate requests that those who have been victims of his crimes attend the Southern Suburb Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police located at the Martyr Mustafa Ali Hassan Barracks in Ouzai, or contact one of the following numbers: 451162-01, 453143-01, in preparation for necessary legal actions.
