The Bassel Stadium in Latakia hosted the city derby between Tishreen and Hottin in the opening of the second round of the Syrian Premier League.
In this match, the blue whale, Hottin Club, achieved a valuable victory over their neighbor, Tishreen, the defending champions, with a score of 1-0. Following the loss to Hottin and dropping to third place with 30 points, coach Dharr Rdaoui announced his resignation.
Tishreen Club issued an official statement: "After his meeting with the club's board of directors, Dharr Rdaoui apologized for not completing his duties as head coach of the first team." The statement added: "The board immediately approved Rdaoui's request, thanking him for his contributions to the team during the previous stage."
It is expected that the club's management will intensify communication with several local coaches to succeed Dharr Rdaoui. It is worth noting that the Army Club leads the Syrian Premier League with 33 points.
