Saudi Actor and Director Ali Al-Huwairini Passes Away

Saudi artist and director Ali Al-Huwairini passed away on Thursday after a battle with illness. His son announced on Twitter that his father died on Thursday, and prayers will be held for him at Al-Rajhi Mosque after Friday prayers. Al-Huwairini was born on May 19, 1945, and was a Saudi actor, director, thinker, and poet. He was the first Saudi to obtain a degree in cinematic directing from Hollywood. After studying cinematic directing in America, Al-Huwairini returned to Saudi Arabia, where he worked in several artistic fields, including radio and directing engineering, and he did not stop at directing but also participated in acting in some plays.
