On Thursday, in El Salvador, the remains of at least 14 people were discovered in the garden of a former police officer who was also a gang leader, known for eliminating his enemies before burying them at his home in the west of the country. Experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine discovered the remains at the residence of the former officer, Hugo Ernesto Osorio Chavez, in Chalchuapa, located 90 kilometers west of the capital San Salvador. In addition to the 14 victims found buried, the former police officer has also been arrested for the murder of a woman and her daughter, which occurred in May. Forensic expert Israel stated that the interrogation of the officer led investigators to carry out excavations that may continue for another month and reveal more bodies. The former officer had previous criminal records and was previously prosecuted for rape.
