Saudi club Al-Nassr officially announced on Wednesday the signing of Uruguayan striker Jonathan Rodriguez from Cruz Azul in Mexico. The official Al-Nassr account on the social media platform "Twitter" stated: "Jonathan is coming," along with a video showcasing the player's key goals throughout his career.
The statement added: "Al-Nassr's management has completed the procedures for signing Uruguayan international star Jonathan Rodriguez after purchasing his contract from Cruz Azul."
Al-Nassr clarified that the player will arrive in the capital Riyadh on Wednesday for a medical examination before joining the team. The 28-year-old forward began his career in Uruguay with Atletico Florida and Peñarol, then moved to Benfica in Portugal, followed by a stint at Deportivo in Spain, and then to Santos in Mexico before arriving at Cruz Azul.
