On Tuesday, the Egyptian broadcaster Majda Abu Haif passed away, who is considered one of the veteran broadcasters in Egyptian television.
Broadcaster Maha Medhat mourned her late colleague Majda Abu Haif on her personal Facebook page, writing: "Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return. The esteemed and decent broadcaster Majda Abu Haif is in God's mercy." Raghda Al-Saeed also posted on Twitter: "O Allah, do not deprive us of her reward and do not let us go astray after her; forgive us and her. The broadcaster Majda Abu Haif is in God's mercy; may He have mercy on her."
The news of her death was also shared by the "Maspero Zaman" page on Facebook, highlighting the most difficult events Abu Haif faced. The late broadcaster is considered one of the most famous presenters on Egyptian television in the 1970s and 1980s, and her work involved "linking" programs and presenting airing schedules.
