Qatar's Amir Congratulates Algeria on Arab Cup Title

The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated the Algerian national team for winning the Arab Cup in football, which took place in Qatar from November 30 to December 18. The Amir expressed his congratulations on Twitter, stating, "I congratulate the Algerian national team for their deserved victory in the Arab Cup 2021. It was a remarkable tournament that reflected the progress of Arab football, and we look forward to seeing you next year in the 2022 World Cup…"

He added, "I also congratulate our national team for their victory today and for securing third place with the level they showed throughout the tournament. I wish them success in their future competitions."

It is worth noting that the Algerian national team was crowned the champion of the Arab Cup "Qatar 2021" after defeating Tunisia 2-0 in the final match held today at the "Al Bayt" stadium before an audience of 60,000 spectators. The Amir of Qatar presented the championship trophy to the "Desert Warriors" alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino, after personally congratulating the Algerian players on the podium.

Additionally, the Qatari national team secured third place in the tournament after defeating Egypt in a penalty shootout, with a score of 5-4 following a match that ended in a goalless draw after regular and extra time at the "974" stadium earlier today.
