The Ministry of Public Health announced the necessity for test results to be reported based on the residence of individuals undergoing testing, rather than their place of work, in order to ensure data accuracy.
The National News Agency reported that the media office at the Ministry of Public Health issued a statement regarding the need to provide test results according to the person's residence. The statement clarified that the daily detailed data table on infection numbers in various Lebanese regions is based on the results received by the ministry from laboratories in different areas, where it has been observed that some laboratories rely on the place of work instead of the residence, as indicated by the concerned individual.
The statement added that communication with the Syndicate of Laboratory Owners confirmed the need for test reports to reflect residence rather than work, to ensure data accuracy during the registration of infection numbers, as well as to facilitate follow-up and investigation campaigns conducted by field teams from the Ministry of Public Health.
The ministry concluded its statement by saying, "In any case, and regardless of the overlapping information, the most important point today remains adherence to preventative measures that ensure safety for all cases."
It is noteworthy that the ministry issued this statement after the municipality of Harat Hreik announced that the infection numbers reported in the daily table of the Ministry of Public Health were double the number of infections within its jurisdiction.
