Life after retirement is a reality every football player must face, and for the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, retirement will be in an exceptional family palace. A report from the British newspaper "The Sun" indicated that Cristiano Ronaldo is building a new mansion in one of the most upscale residential areas in Portugal. The 37-year-old Manchester United forward had previously purchased the most expensive apartment ever sold in Lisbon last year, worth $8.3 million, which included a gym and an indoor pool. Now, Ronaldo has spent $9 million on a large piece of land in a coastal area called "Quinta da Marinha" in Portugal. The Portuguese newspaper "Correio da Manhã" reported that Ronaldo plans to build a new palace which will become the main family home after retirement. A source living in the same neighborhood as the new mansion told the newspaper: "The land was recently bought by Ronaldo... this is where Ronaldo will come to live with his family when he finishes his career." The source added: "Everyone here knows it... and of course we are happy. Ronaldo is Ronaldo." "Quinta da Marinha" is located half an hour from Lisbon Airport and ten minutes from the seaside city center of Cascais, a major holiday destination on the Lisbon coast.
