Brazilian football legend Ronaldo, known as "The Phenomenon," stated that Bayern Munich, the current UEFA Champions League winners, is the leading candidate to win the title again this season.
In comments reported by "Sport Star," Ronaldo said, "Yes, the final stage of the Champions League is about to begin, and it is still very early to determine the favorite for the title, but I like to say it’s the usual teams: Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Who else? Manchester City as well, in my opinion."
Ronaldo added, "Paris Saint-Germain has only reached the final of the tournament, and they have a great team with Neymar. They are also among the candidates, but I have a clearer vision regarding the favorites for the title. We will see how things unfold."
The Brazilian star, who also played for Inter Milan, noted, "In any case, Bayern Munich is the current champion, and their chances are slightly better for winning the title this season, given their performance in the Bundesliga this year and also in the Champions League."
Bayern Munich is set to face Lazio in the Round of 16 of the Champions League, with the match scheduled for February 23. It is worth mentioning that Bayern Munich, under the leadership of German coach Hans Flick, won the UEFA Champions League title last season against Paris Saint-Germain, as well as securing the domestic treble: the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and the German Supercup.
