Under the title "Heavy Losses for the Houthis in Al Hudaydah: Two Key Leaders Killed," the Al Arabiya website reported that the Yemeni joint forces continue to advance in the southern part of Al Hudaydah Governorate, amid significant losses for the Houthi militia, which included the deaths of two leaders and the destruction of important positions.
A military source said today, Sunday, that two Houthi leaders were killed in the Jabal Ras area in the south of the governorate, in addition to the coalition destroying a command and control center. The leaders who were killed are Muhammad Abdullah Sharaf Abu Talib and Abdullah Al-Rahoumi, and they were killed alongside several militia members in an airstrike by the coalition in the Hays district in southeastern Al Hudaydah. The source also noted that leader Abu Talib holds a position in the militia's "Preventive Security" apparatus.
**Control of Hays**
In parallel, the joined forces and the Tehama resistance announced the complete recapture of the Hays district, indicating that they continue to advance northward to regain control of the Al Jarahi district in southeastern province. In recent hours, they managed to control the supply line for the militias at the Al Adain intersection and continued advancing eastward towards the mountain range.
Meanwhile, military sources stated that coalition support for legitimacy aircraft destroyed a militia command and control center in the Jabal Ras area in the far southeast of Al Hudaydah, which was used to jam communications and direct drone operations.
**Liberation of districts in Shabwa**
In another context, the Yemeni army launched a new military operation in Shabwa Governorate, south of Marib, to liberate the districts of Bayhan, Usaylan, and Ain. Military sources said that the army, backed by popular resistance, initiated a military operation to regain control of the three districts, which were captured by the Houthi militia earlier this month.
The joint forces advanced for the second consecutive day in a large-scale military operation as part of the re-positioning and deployment on the fronts of the western coast of Yemen. The military operation resulted in the liberation of several scattered villages southwest, north, and northeast of Hays, south of Al Hudaydah.
Additionally, the spokesman for the Giants Brigades, Mamoun Al-Mahjami, revealed yesterday, Saturday, that the joint forces have completely cleared the areas linking Al-Nujayba and Hays (south of Al Hudaydah) up to Jabal Al-Barasha. He added that units from the Giants have moved from the front north of the city of Hays and reached the outskirts of the city of Al Jarahi.
It is noteworthy that the Al Hudaydah Governorate is witnessing fierce battles coinciding with the launch of a large military operation by the Yemeni joint forces in three governorates: Marib, Al Hudaydah, and Taiz, to cleanse them of the Iranian-affiliated Houthi militias.
