Ronaldo Signals a Departure from Manchester United

The British newspaper "The Sun" has revealed that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will leave his current team, Manchester United, next summer if the "Red Devils" do not qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Manchester United is currently in seventh place in the Premier League standings, with 32 points from 20 matches, far behind leaders Manchester City, who have 56 points after 22 rounds of the Premier League.

"The Sun" reported on Wednesday that discussions have taken place between Ronaldo's representatives and Richard Arnold, who is set to become the new CEO of the club at the beginning of next month. During these discussions, concerns were raised about the team's performance and their seventh-place position in the Premier League.

Moreover, the newspaper indicated that Ronaldo, who will turn 37 next month, has decided to leave United if they do not qualify for the Champions League next season. "The Sun" mentioned that Ronaldo desires to continue playing until he is 40 years old, but he hopes to end his career with a successful team, which currently seems challenging with Manchester United.

Last week, Ronaldo expressed his disappointment regarding the behavior of the younger players in the team and their unwillingness to listen to the advice of experienced players like him. He also felt shocked by the lack of intensity in the team's training compared to his first stint with the club from 2003 to 2009.

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United at the beginning of the current season with a two-year contract, believing that the team had a talented squad capable of competing for major titles. However, the team is currently positioned to qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League next season. It is worth noting that the top four teams in the Premier League qualify for the UEFA Champions League, while the fifth place enters the Europa League and the sixth place qualifies for the Conference League.
