His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, sent a written message to Tunisian President Kais Saied concerning the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, along with issues of mutual interest. The message was delivered by the Diplomatic Advisor to the President, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, during a meeting with the Tunisian president today at Carthage Palace as part of an official visit to the Tunisian capital.
During the meeting, Dr. Gargash conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with the leadership of the UAE, to President Saied.
He emphasized the historical, strong relations between the UAE and the sisterly Republic of Tunisia, and expressed solidarity with the Tunisian people during this exceptional phase, while looking forward to enhancing cooperation with Tunisia in the upcoming period. Dr. Gargash affirmed that the UAE supports all efforts that bolster Tunisia's security and stability, clarifying that matters related to Tunisia's internal affairs are sovereign issues. He stressed that Tunisia is capable of successfully addressing the challenges of this phase across economic, health, and institutional dimensions, and called on the international community to support Tunisia in facing its health and economic challenges.
