The retired actress Hanan Turk addressed her followers about a fake page on the social media platform "Facebook" that impersonates her. Turk commented on the controversy that arose in recent days regarding her supposed declaration of the prohibition of celebrating Christmas, stating, "I am only responsible for what I post on my verified pages on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, and I am not responsible for any statements published on any other pages bearing my name."
She posted a tweet on her official account on the short messaging site "Twitter," confirming that she had warned previously about pages impersonating her. She wrote: "This post was published on 2/11/2019, where I clarified that there are fake pages on Facebook impersonating me and posting things unrelated to me, and reports have been filed with Facebook management to close these pages."
She added, "After that, I published another post on 11/11/2020 saying the same thing, and I also published a post on 21/4/2021 with the same message."
Hanan Turk had sparked widespread controversy on social media in recent days after a Facebook account bearing her name posted a message prohibiting the celebration of Christmas, leading to backlash from numerous artists, including "Murad Makram" and "Wael Abdel Aziz."
