A commercial plane crashed in South Sudan today shortly after taking off from Jonglei State, heading towards the capital, Juba.
According to the Anadolu Agency, in an English report, the director of Juba International Airport, Kor Kuoi, expressed fears of multiple casualties in the plane crash. Kuoi mentioned in a phone call that a commercial aircraft crashed in Jonglei State, indicating it was en route to the capital, Juba. The crash occurred shortly after takeoff, and he noted that there is no communication network available at the accident site, making it difficult to tally the victims. The agency highlighted that this incident marks the second crash involving regional airlines in South Sudan, with the first occurring in 2017, resulting in a plane collision during landing. In the latest report, the French news agency stated that there are 10 fatalities in the crash in Jonglei State, South Sudan.
