Syrian actress Nadine Tahsin Bek revealed her opinion about social media, confirming that she was initially opposed to it but has recently reconsidered her stance and felt the need to keep up with society.
During her interview with "ET بالعربي," she mentioned that she stayed away from these topics but was compelled to return to them due to their vital role in society. She stated: "I was against social media, but then I realized I was making a big mistake. Whether I liked it or not, it became necessary, which is why I returned to create an Instagram page and decided to follow the norm like everyone else and to do a photoshoot."
Regarding her earlier refusal to participate in photoshoots, she justified it by saying: "I feel that they don't resemble me, and in life, I prefer to do only things that reflect my personality. I am doing the photoshoot for a specific necessity and I am trying as much as possible not to stray from my unique character."
She also pointed out that she often appears naturally without makeup, considering makeup a secondary issue that she does not favor, as she feels it changes her both inside and out since she is not convinced by it at all. She concluded her remarks by saying: "I thank God for my appearance; I don’t see myself as beautiful, but I accept who I am. People can like me or not, but this is my reality."
Nadine also emphasized that everything she has recently done, whether it is the photoshoot or on social media, is not representative of her true self, but she had to adapt to the current times. It’s worth mentioning that Nadine showcased her talent during the Ramadan season in several works including "Souk Al-Hareer," "Ahd Dam," and the comedy series "Bebasata" in its second season.
