She expressed her frustration on Twitter, writing, "What kind of nonsense is this?? Do you really believe yourselves and think that a joke on a silly puppet show is news?? What foolishness is this??" She accompanied her tweet with a picture of the statement made about her.
Sherine Reda, 53, made her remark during the bold questions segment of the show with Karo on Friday. She also discussed her romantic life from childhood until her most recent relationship, which has caused the current controversy.
Her response in the episode was: "Right now, I am in love with a guy named Mohamed. The strangest pick-up line I ever received was from him. He came to me and said, 'My name is Mohamed, I am 25 years old, and I want to marry you, but I’m not married yet, and we are currently in a love story together.'"
