Roger Feghali Wins the 10th Jezzine Rally

Driver Roger Feghali added another title to his illustrious collection of local and international awards by winning the 10th Jezzine Rally, organized by the Lebanese Automobile and Touring Club in the Jezzine region today, under the patronage of "O.M.T," with the participation of 21 cars, 17 of which crossed the finish line. Driver Tamer Ghondor and his co-driver Selim Jalilati in a Skoda Fabia secured second place, while Omani Abdullah Al-Rawahi and his Jordanian co-driver Ata hammoud in a Skoda Fabia came in third.

The total distance of the rally, which is part of the second round of the Lebanon Rally Championship for 2022 following the Spring Rally, was 215.22 km, including seven special speed stages totaling 85.83 km, held in hot summer weather with a large turnout of motorsport enthusiasts along the special stages. From the start of the race, Feghali, with co-driver Fouad Feghali (who was participating for the first time in the "hot seat" alongside Roger), dominated and maintained the lead from the first stage to the seventh and final stage, leaving the competition for the remaining positions.

After the first two special stages, Roger was in first place followed by Al-Wahebi and Ghondor. However, during the third stage, as Roger continued to lead, Ghondor took second place, followed by Al-Rawahi in third, with the trio maintaining that order until the end of the rally. Omani driver Hamad Al-Wahebi (former world champion in Group N) faced several mechanical issues that hindered him from reaching the podium. Alex Feghali won the Group N title and Elias Dahni claimed the front-wheel-drive category title, which he also won in the previous Spring Rally.
