Samsung is currently preparing to introduce new concepts for "foldable and sliding" displays with its upcoming generation of mobile phones, the "Galaxy Z Fold 3," including a "multi-fold" mobile display, set for release in August, according to a report published by Gadgetts. The "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3" is expected to feature a 7.6-inch main (internal) display and a 6.2-inch secondary (external) display.
Samsung is also showcasing two concepts for larger display panels, including a 17-inch foldable "OLED" tablet-sized screen that can function as a display when opened. The company is also presenting a more traditionally styled laptop screen that does not fold or bend but includes a camera beneath the display, which they hope will be an improvement over their last camera design.
Samsung entered the foldable device market early and may have more innovations on the way in this field. The company states it will launch one of its innovations in the market this year. The next generation of its foldable devices is scheduled to be showcased at one of its promotional events on August 11, 2021. The new promotional display for the "Galaxy Unpacked" event offers a glimpse of the upcoming "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3."
The phone is likely to continue with the same book-like foldable design. The company confirmed that it will not unveil a new "Galaxy Note" phone during the "Galaxy Unpacked" event; instead, it will launch its third-generation foldable phones, referred to as "Galaxy Z Fold" and "Galaxy Z Flip."
The new promotional event for "Galaxy Unpacked" will start in August 2021, showcasing Samsung's older phones, feature phones, and other vintage mobile devices, including those with the "QWERTY" keyboard that were once popular. The phone is expected to come with two optional versions of the "S Pen," a refresh rate of 120Hz, 8GB of RAM, and storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
