Enrique: We Will Play to Win Against Japan

Spain's head coach Luis Enrique confirmed that his team will not underestimate Japan and will play to win, despite Spain currently topping Group E of the World Cup after a 1-1 draw with Germany. Enrique said at a press conference, "The feeling in the locker room was strange, especially since we had the chance to beat Germany, and we let it slip away. That was shameful." He added, "But we have to think that we are at the top of what is called the 'group of death' and we must remain positive. A draw with Japan on Thursday could potentially send us to the knockout stages, but we won't speculate. We will use our full strength and strive to win to secure our position at the top of the group."
