Dana Mont, a social specialist at the Federal Conference for Educational Consulting, stated that children's language development varies from one child to another in terms of speed, as some speak early while others begin to talk later. To support this development, Mont recommended speaking to the child in appropriate language and with correct pronunciation, while ensuring direct eye contact during conversations.
Children's pronunciation should be corrected indirectly; for example, if a child says "falasa" instead of "farasha" (butterfly), one can correct them by saying the word correctly again instead of reprimanding them by saying, "Wrong... this is a butterfly, not falasa." The German expert added that language development can be supported by watching and reading picture books together, as well as encouraging creativity and imagination through role-playing and puppet shows.
