What's New in the Negotiations with the IMF?

The Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, Jihad Azour, stated that the IMF team has established a mechanism for Lebanon to obtain a program during its negotiations with the Lebanese government, which requires a set of measures. He noted that Beirut has approved some of these measures, while other measures are still pending approval. He emphasized that these measures are "essential to get the country out of its current crisis."
