Jumblatt: The World on the Brink of the Abyss

Walid Jumblatt, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, tweeted: "The world today is on the brink of an abyss similar to the Cuban missile crisis of 1962, and the war in Ukraine reminds me of the Crimean War of the 19th century. The difference is that nuclear weapons, if used, will wipe out humanity. Therefore, high rhetoric is useless; the only solution is a political one that guarantees the existence of Ukraine and the unity of Russia as an alternative."
