The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, tweeted: "We reiterate our assurance to our beloved farmers that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will open its doors to the import of Lebanese agricultural products, specifically apples, on the 15th of this month, after having opened the doors for 'pears and garlic.' This will alleviate the crisis of national apples this year. We express our gratitude to the Kingdom, represented by His Majesty the King, and thanks are also extended to the government, represented by Minister Khaled Hneifat, who holds great love and respect for the Lebanese people."
