Brazilian beauty queen Maiara Nitaú jumped from her sixth-floor balcony to escape a fire on Tuesday. She was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries. The British newspaper "Mirror" reported that her 23-year-old brother was also hospitalized after inhaling smoke, and doctors say his condition is now stable. Maiara, 27 years old, was crowned in January and had been participating in beauty pageants since 2019, winning a total of 9 titles.
